Education
This area concerns the process of art appreciation and art awareness shared between audience and the Gallery itself. Or the bridge between the Gallery’s know-how and objects and the Gallery’s users, its visitors.
The National Gallery of Denmark wishes to have its education and exhibition activities meet its visitors at their level without sacrificing its high level of art expertise. Taking this at its point of departure, the Gallery can offer culturally funded diagnoses of our present day and take part in the cultural exchange and process of cognition that society should never be without.
Education is carried out by an independent department that also comprises these units: Exhibition, Publishing, and Education; the latter includes The Children’s Workshop, u.l.k, and Media.
