PRESS CONFERENCE: Matisse - Doubles and Variations

On the occasion of the opening of 2012’s major special exhibition at the National Gallery of Denmark I have the pleasure of inviting to a press conference.

This year’s main exhibition at the National Gallery of Denmark brings together a range of absolute masterpieces by Matisse from museums and private collections from all across the world. The exhibition, which is realised as a result of co-operation between the National Gallery of Denmark, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, adds a new chapter to our shared understanding of the French master painter. 11.05: Director Karsten Ohrt welcomes the attending members of the press

11.10: Introduction to and tour of the exhibition conducted by curator Dorthe Aagesen, educator Mette Houlberg Rung, and exhibition architect Elisabeth Topsøe. Also features Cécile Debray and Rebecca Rabinow – the curators responsible for the Matisse exhibitions at the Centre Pompidou and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, respectively

From 12 noon: Lunch in the Gallery’s Sculpture Street

The exhibition is open to members of the press until 2.30 p.m.
