The painting has lost weight

A heavy wooden support attached to the backside of the panel during a previous conservation treatment has been thinned by two conservators from the National Museum.

A thick yellowed varnish has been removed

Follow the removal of yellowed varnish and discoloured overpaints and see how the painting appears before retouching.
