Experiences at SMK
The National Gallery of Denmark is so much more than just a gallery. We offer a range of divers experiences and invite you to our concerts, dance and activities for children, lectures, film and debates.
Experiences with a reference point in the art. With reference to our current exhibitions and activities we develop experiences for all ages and taste. In this way, we create experiences that put the arts into perspective and can act as a supplement to an exhibition visit.
Creativity and glue
Each week we offer our scheduled workshop activities and, tours and exhibitions for children. Besides these activities we also have concerts for children at the Gallery stage and at the first Sunday in the month, we put a special focus on children. The day is called "Sunday for children" and the whole family get the opportunity to play with their imagination, be creative with activities, glue and artists.
Musical strings
At the Gallery’s stage – we present a range of experiences which combines the art with music. Experience chilled beats at the Night Music Gallery or be part of various avant-garde music events with electronic music in an untraditional framework. We also have afternoons with improvised live jazz and other jazz concerts that with their musical quality and original approach makes a unique experience.
Experiences galore
We do not only offer activities for children and music events – in collaboration with a range of talented and permanent partners, we have developed experiences within many different areas. With our partners we can, in this way, actualise art history in a manner which gives a new and different insight to the art.
