Copenhagen Jazz Festival is the collective designation of the organisation behind the work with the professional jazz initiative in Copenhagen. Copenhagen Jazz Festival has in three decades marked themselves as the organisers of some of the country’s most important music events. By being alert to the new trends in both national and international jazz music – it has year after year been possible to deliver a strong program with high musical quality and originality both summer and winter.

The Copenhagen Jazz Festival starts in July every year and is seen as one of the most reputable jazz festivals in Europe – and with more than 1000 concerts and 250.000 visitors, it is regarded as one of yearly highlights in Copenhagen.

Copenhagen Jazz Festival and the Gallery
We have for years been collaborating with Copenhagen Jazz Festival to present jazz concerts of a high quality for a broad audience across age groups. This happens among other in connection with Winter Jazz, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Jazzforkids and State Sessions.

• Jazz Festivals. In connection with the two primary jazz festivals, Winter Jazz and Copenhagen Jazz Festival we invite you to free afternoon concerts at the Gallery stage.

• Jazz for Kids. Jazz for Kids are special concerts for children and can be experienced at the Stage at the school holidays and in connection with the comprehensive jazz for children festival under Copenhagen Jazz Festival in July at Østre Anlæg. The activities for children are part of a collaboration with the Gallery’s workshop for children and the concerts place focus on improvisation and the artistic creation process.
