Your gift to Statens Museum for Kunst is also your gift to the future.
Donations and bequests have had an immeasurable importance for the collection of art the public can experience at the Museum today. Many of the finest works in the Museum have been acquired through donations of individual works, whole collections and bequests.
An example
One example is the gift of the Rump Collection (after engineer Johannes Rump), who donated 16 pictures by Matisse to Statens Museum for Kunst in 1928. This is the reason why one of the world’s largest and finest collections of works by Matisse could be enjoyed at the Museum in 2012.
Tax deductions
Donations can be both gifts of money and works which the Museum wishes to acquire. If you want to support Statens Museum for Kunst with a specific amount of money or art, you can also obtain tax advantages.
