Nelson Garden and the Gallery

In 1933 Georg Nilsson sowed the first seeds for what would become Nelson Garden, which is now a leading provider to nurseries and garden centres. Nelson Garden’s products are featured at more than 11,000 points of sale throughout Scandinavia, and the range spans from seeds and bulbs to garden equipment.
We are very happy to have Nelson Garden among our partners for the exhibition Flowers and World Views.

In March of 2013 the SMK presents the exhibition Flowers and World Views . Taking the Gottorfer Codex as its point of departure the exhibition will show how 17th and 18th century artists translated flowers into images. Nelson Garden is among the museum’s partners for the exhibition, and we are very grateful to Nelson Garden for enabling us to sell seeds that match the flowers presented in the exhibition.

Nelson Garden and the SMK
Nelson Garden sponsors seed packs to accompany the invitations for the official opening, as well as seeds to be handed out to visitors at the opening weekend. Nelson Garden has also collaborated with the SMK to match 28 species from their seed range to flowers from the Gottorfer Codex flower album. The 28 different kinds of seeds pertaining to the exhibition Flowers and World Views will be available from the SMK shop and from nurseries in Zealand.
