Nymosegård TRÆULD and the Gallery

Near Kjellerup, in scenic Mid-Jutland, between Silkeborg and Viborg is Nymosegård. In the early 19th century, the land in this former bog area was parcelled out. Today, the farm is owned and operated by Karsten Holm, who, with longstanding experience in agriculture and carpentry, shares his professional knowledge through the production of basketry, wood shavings, and more. We are really happy that Karsten’s expertise now comes to children at the Danish National Gallery.

With a sponsorship of special wool for our Workshops, the children receive ample opportunity to get their hands directly in this amazing material and create unique plaster sculptures from the children’s own hands.

The Workshops at the Danish National Gallery today form the physical framework for a broad range of varied and professional quality services for children and youth who want to develop themselves through active and creative activities at the museum.
