What Hammershøi would you bring to a desert island?

Kasper, who is the curator on the exhibition, has no doubts: if he were stranded on a desert island and could take only one Hammershøi painting with him, he would take the painting The Buildings of the Asiatic Company.

Personally I would probably choose the painting Seated Female Nude, which was shown in the previous blog. Strangely enough we are having some difficulty in finding the perfect spot within the exhibition for this particular painting. It may be one of the most intimate depictions of the human body and human skin within Danish art from this period.
