Bjørn Nørgaard: Venus mirrors – mirrors Venus, 2005

Bjørn Nørgaard has copied and reinterpreted Venus in a series of casts in plaster and stoneware entitled Venus mirrors – mirrors Venus. Bjørn Nørgaard’s Venuses are full of references to fine art, both antiquity and modern art. Part of the sereis can be seen at The National Gallery of Art at the special exhibition: Bjørn Noergaard: Remodelling the World (16 April-24 October 2010). The sculptures are a donation from Montana Gruppen, Nykredit A/S, Nørgaard på Strøget, private donator, The Heritage Agency of Denmark and Hermod Lannungs Museumsfond.
