With the project gipSMK, The National Gallery of Denmark gives a group of young users the posibility to select statues for their own exhibition and inspiration in their work. Dancestudents from Dansehallerne and pupils from Gefion Gymnasium was invited to act as curators and select works from the Royal Cast Collection. This should serve as the focal point of a social process: Dance Students choose sculptures that will be transferred to Carlsberg, where dancers can interact directly with the works. And secondary Students choose statues for use in their classrooms.
