Privacy policy
You can use www.smk.dk and remain anonymous. The National Gallery of Denmark does not record any information about you that can be used to identify you. The exception to this rule is when you personally subscribe to- or participate in comment fields, quiz-, press-, or newsletter features.
We keep statistics over use of the website in order to be able to develop and improve it. We do not investigate who visits the site. But we can see how the page is used – for example, what pages are the most commonly shown and what PDF files are the most commonly downloaded. The number of visitors to the website is published in the museum's annual report.
We place cookies on your computer. A cookie is a small text file that gives your browser the ability to recall previous visits to a page.
We do not forward or sell personal information to third parties.
Business partners
smk.dk was developed working with MOC Systems, which designed the solution in Typo3. The website’s information architecture was developed by Advice Digital and the design was provided by e-Types.
The website was launched in March of 2010 and in English of May 2010. If you would like to see the museum’s earlier website, please visit webmuseum.dk.
Screen size and browser
The website is optimised for a minimum 1024p x 600p screen size, and can be viewed on both Mac and PC with the most recent versions of FireFox, Safari and Internet Explorer, but please note that the site is not optimised for Internet Explorer 6.
Watching films and playing games
Under the menu points “Explore the art” > “Web TV” / "Games" you can see all the films and games the museum has produced. This requires a Flash player that you can download and install on your computer for free.
Exploring Art Stories
The universe Art Stories is optimised for most browsers, however we do recommend you not to use Internet Explorer on this part of the website, since Art Stories is not optimised for this particular browser.
Guidelines for comments
We are happy to receive your feedback, ideas and suggestions in the comment field – and we hope that other visitors to the site will benefit from being able to see these comments as well. We value proper demeanour, so please write in a way in which you yourself would care to be addressed.
We reserve the right to delete postings that are irrelevant to the content in question, such as adverts, if they seem offensive, or if they are unlawful. We will use your email address to contact you, if there are problems with the post.
We write about our projects in our blogs. At times, we are busy working on projects, but we strive to answer questions and comments as quickly as possible.
