Carl-Henning Pedersen

In 2007 the National Gallery of Denmark received a large gift of art and a donation from Carl-Henning Pedersen, who died the same year. He and his wife donated a collection consisting of a total of 40 works, including oil paintings and watercolours.

The National Gallery of Denmark already had some of Carl-Henning Pedersen’s earlier works from the 1940s, and the donation of the 40 works constitutes an incredibly important expansion of this collection. From now on, visitors to the Gallery will be able to view and enjoy a substantial and representative collection of Carl-Henning Pedersen’s work at the National Gallery of Denmark.
