Carlsberg and the Gallery
“That calls for a Carlsberg” is Carlsberg’s slogan and the essence of a proud history that goes back over 150 years. The visionary J.C. Jacobsen founded the brewery in 1947 and working with this son Carl, the brewery soon became a success. The brewery on Valby Bakke became a nationwide supplier and in the decades after the Second World War, Carlsberg also established production abroad. Since then, the brewery has contentiously developed and expanded in line with a high quality.
Carlsberg & the Gallery
The New Carlsberg Fund has over the years made significant financial contributions to the Gallery – and we are now happy to announce that a new sponsorship between the brewery and the Gallery has been agreed. With support from Carlsberg, among others, the museum can welcome guests with a beer when the doors open for a new exhibition or a concert.
