IKEA A/S and the Gallery
Thanks to sponsorship from IKEA A/S, the National Gallery of Denmark can provide the best physical facilities available for visitors who want to use and actively participate in the museum.
With the sponsorship of chairs and stools to our Workshops, IKEA A/S has helped open up the museum for children and families – completely in line with SMK's vision to meet all ages at their own level. IKEA A/S is known for its special functional and safety-tested furniture for children, which ensures the very playful and artistic freedom we want to give the children in our Workshop activities.
The workshops at the National Gallery of Denmark create a unique immersion experience filled with schoolchildren and families who want to actively participate in the museum. In the workshops, children meet academy trained artists who lead them into a universe focused on art. Here the children get hands-on experience exploring art and its many attributes.
