As part of Social Media Week SMK invites to a seminar about art museums presence on social media. Among others you can hear Jesse Ringham from Tate (London) and Allegra Burnette from MoMA (New York) speak of their work.
Allegra Burnette (Creative Director, MoMA), Jesse Ringham (Digital Communications Manager, Tate) and Sarah Grøn (Digital Editor, SMK) present how the three museums use social media. They’ll discuss what the keys to success on social media are and how they work with strategy and content planning.
The presentations will touch upon such things as tone, timing, content marketing, organization, branding and the integration of channels into successful multi-platform campaigns.
Please notice that the museum opens at 10 a.m. and the programme starts at 10.10. Large backs must be placed in the cloak room before attending the event.
Allegra Burnette, Jesse Ringham and Sarah Grøn debate on the best practices for art museums when it comes to social media. More and more museums are present on social media but how to leverage that presence to its full extent? What are the do’s and don’ts, and what can we as museums obtain on social media?
If you have any questions regarding museums and social media, this is the time to ask them. Linea Hansen (Head of Social Media, National Museum of Denmark) moderates the debate.
Sofie Linde (Marketing Coordinator, SMK), Merete Sanderhoff (Researcher, SMK) and Frederik Henrik Knap (ULK Coordinator/Art Educator, SMK), Jenni Saunte (Project Leader, Biblioteket Frederiksberg) and four art pilots from SMK: Marie Wengler, Amalie Sølling Filip Vest and Emil Lüth present three different projects that SMK are currently involved in:
