The finest collection of Danish drawings outside Denmark was visiting Statens Museum for Kunst during the summer 2007. Its home is the Frits Lugt Collection, The Dutch Institute, Paris, where Danish drawings by the finest artists of the 19th century have been collected since the 1970s.
"Danish Paintings from Finland"
Ship owner Hans Tobiesen’s collection of Danish art at the Ateneum Museum of Art in Helsinki was bequeathed to the museum in 1953 as thanks for a long-standing collaboration with Finland. The collection consisted of more than 400 paintings. The Finnish National Gallery received 14 of these, which are shown here.
