Cave is a film trilogy by the Finnish artist Salla Tykkä (b. 1973). The trilogy consists of three short films: Lasso, Thriller and Cave, which were presented in x-rummet as a video installation.

The films function as complex stories about the painful but also delightful transition between childhood and adulthood and about the psychological relation between sexes. Salla Tykkä uses elements, devices and music from classic film genres like westerns and thrillers. The trilogy work as a series of intense and compressed stories. By using ambiguity and mystique, it creates a breathless space between distance and empathy.
