NB! SMK is currently installing a new, environmentally friendly climate control system that will help us preserve the museum’s art for posterity. As the construction work proceeds we will need to close some of our exhibition rooms for specific periods of time. Instead, you can explore highlights from the usual displays in three new FOCUS ON displays.
From 3. January we're closing Danish and International Art after 1900, and from 17. January you can instead explore the FOCUS ON display Focus on Danish and International Art after 1900.
Permanent exhibition with artworks from the Collections
Modern art from the 20th century and the very latest contemporary art now fills the exhibition rooms of the Gallery’s white building, offering a wide-ranging display of the main movements within Danish art.
The exhibition includes rooms focusing on major individual figures, on collective movements, and on important works and trends from the international art scene of the period.
