Projects on learning and education
The SMK takes part in many learning projects, all of which reflect a desire to experiment with what it means to be a museum today. Together with our users we wish to make the museum institution a relevant contributor to and co-creator of contemporary society. That is why we also work closely together with our users when developing specific projects.
One example would be the Kunstkatapult (“Art Catapult”), an educational course for fifth graders developed in co-operation with Det Kgl. Vajsenshus and Bavnehøj Skole.
The learning projects are closely linked to the museum’s education and workshop activities and to the SMK's research projects, which address e.g. citizenship.
SMK co-operates with a wide range of partners on learning projects; these include the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, DR, Billedskolen i Tvillinghallen, Copenhagen Børnejazz Festival, DREAM, Gefion Gymnasium, Folkekirkens Skoletjeneste, Experimentarium, Willumsen’s Museum, Buster Filmfestival, and Roskilde Festival.
Do you have a good idea for a collaborative project on education aimed at children and young adults?
