Epoch-making Vehemence
In the course of the 1960s, a series of artists in Vienna carried out some of their most epoch-making events, which in many cases were so vehement that they resulted in a prison sentence. Mass media such as photography and film were used to describe and document these events, which were intended to break down taboos and radically alter middle class society.
This part of the exhibition will also feature younger artists working politically and aesthetically with event-based art.
