Everyone’s cultural treasure as everyday clothing – jumpsuit with motif

A Danish landscape as we know it from beautiful, warm summer days as well as from the memories of them has been transformed into a piece of garment in an attempt to put classical artworks on display outside the museum walls too. The design duo Product of Public Domain has transferred the golden field and clear blue sky from Harald Slott-Møller’s (1864-1937) Danish Landscape (1891) to a jumpsuit and in this way made it possible to wear the idyllic landscape where you go – through the city or out into nature.

“We are accustomed to seeing logos, statements, shapes, patterns, etc. on the garments we wrap ourselves in. In the jumpsuit, we use this everyday canvas to display and disseminate works of great, though often unknown artists to the wider population."
