Undersøgelse, konservering og restaurering af ældre udenlandsk kunst, især nederlandsk 1600-tals maleri.

Teknisk kunsthistorie. Undersøgelse af materialebrug og maleteknikker med henblik på at opnå en bedre forståelse for malernes traditioner og valg af materialer og dermed også værkernes bevaringstilstand og deres nedbrydningsfænomener.
